Mir & Hyori

mir-arc:

Mir closed his eyes at the thought of ramen. The noodles…the toppings…the broth… This all made Mir grow even more hungry than before. He wondered did she want to take him to a ramen shop? He’s only ever had the instant kind. “I am so up for it!”

As Mir saw the shop ahead of them he jumped excitedly. The thought of the delicious noodles soon to be in his stomach sent shivers up his spine. He loved food too much sometimes.

Clyde nodded in agreement with Hieros. “I have told him that many times but he doesn’t listen. Mir…he gets very lonely easily so he purposely does that so someone will notice him. Even if it is just to be scolded or any other negative outcome he still does it.” She shook her head and kicked some rocks. “I don’t want him to get hurt.”

“Sixteen? That’s quite young.” Clyde giggled when the other mentioned Mir’s neglect. “No, he’s just so excited that someone isn’t actually yelling at him for once. He would never go anywhere without me. After all I am his only friend.” Clyde looked at Hieros and smiled politely. “My name is Clyde.”

Hyori gave a stern nodded with a smile; she looked over at Mir and said, “Then follow me!”

She lead the boy to the noodle shop, she could see it in sight and all she could feel was her stomach calling out for some good homemade ramen; the noodles made at Okāsan’s were made as if homemade and they tasted great! Upon arriving at the shop, Hyori noticed that it was crowded as always.

Hieros really felt bad for the two, it seemed like they had it rough yet they were still pulling through; Hieros respected them in that area as they didn’t seem to complain, well as far he knew.

“Yeah, but we don’t mind it. I’m sorry though, that you two have to go through that and that your human feels that way,”Hieros honestly replied, he knew that feeling of feeling like you were alone because he and Hyori felt it many times.

He continued to listen as the other dæmon explained everything; there really was no understanding on how these two still got one with their lives, Hieros felt like he would have cracked already if it was them.

“Well, Rin isn’t one to lash out on someone, even a thief; she can be wild and outspoken at times, but never violent unless it causes harm to our life,” He explained. “You two should make some more friends though, of course no one will ever full understand you two but each other, but you should get to know more people. It could help in other ways as well. By the way, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”

Walking up to the table, Hyori gave a polite bow to the ahjumma and ajusshi who owned and ran the shop; Hyori was a regular so she had gotten to know the elder couple and came to consider them a segregate grandmother and father.

She ordered herself some tonkotsu with a side of takoyaki and some sake to go with it; of course she was of drinking age, and it had been awhile since she had any alcohol. She waited for Mir to order what he wanted and began to dig in as she watched the couple prepare the food in front of the four.

“Ah, isn’t this the best ramen you ever tasted?” Hyori asked Mir with a smile.

Crash and Boom || Hyori & Gikwang

gikwang-arc:

Gikwang eyed the girl before nodding. He was still in a bit of a jumpy mood, and his old, ever suspicious self had returned. Where they coming back for him? Surely not, he was legal now. They couldn’t bring him back… could they?

The brunette sat down, Canis resting my his feet, her head on his lap. The she-wolf felt her human’s pain, both emotionally and physically, and it saddened her. Gikwang gently lifted his injured arm and allowed her to smear the cream onto it. “Thank you.”

Gikwang looked down at the stoat and smiled. “It’s fine, really. I should’ve been paying more attention. But I appreciate the thought.”

Hyori read his body language, and it screamed nervousness, worry, and uncertainty -surely he knew she wouldn’t hurt him, or did he? She could tell this man was on edge somehow, she didn’t why, but he was and she knew she had be gentle. Hieros on the other hand, was still in a stare of worry; he knew how Hyori got when she was angry, and he knew she could feel how sorry he was, but he knew she would ignore it until she got over it.

Strange as it seemed, the man let Hyori touch him; with the state he looked, she expected him to flinch if she dare as so much move an inch. He thanked her and let her smear the healing cream on, she made sure to rub all of it in and put pressure to the wound just incase it had caused any internal damage.

Hyori listens as the man reassures Hieros that he was fine and that it was partically his fault; this made Hieros feel a little better now, he just hoped that Hyori would no longer be mad at him.

“I’m Lee Hyori, by the way,” She introduced herself with a weak smile. “Please call me Rin though, and this is Hieros.”

“Howdy!” The now snow-white ermine replied, though with less enthusiasm than it often held.

“Let me buy you some coco,” Hyori offered, she still felt bad. “Least I could do and since it’s pretty cold out.”

She hoped he would accept her offer, she just couldn’t let this eat at her conscience if she just walked away now.

Crash and Boom || Hyori & Gikwang

gikwang-arc:

Gikwang had convinced Canis to go on a moonlit stroll with him to calm his nerves. He had been anxious all day, mainly because a figure from his past had shown up. Fortunately for him, the man didn’t remember him, but even still it filled Gikwang with horror. He let out a soft sigh and ran a hand through his silky hair before shoving his hands back in his pockets.

Memories flashed through his mind as he walked, regardless of how hard he begged his mind to stop. Gikwang soon found himself in a daze; he paid little attention to where he was headed.

Smack!

Somehow, Gikwang had run into another human and found himself sprawled out on the ground. He let out a soft groan as pain flooded through his elbow, Canis echoing his pain with a whine. Gikwang had smacked his arm in the fall against a light pole and although it wasn’t broken, it sure felt like it.

With pain-filled eyes, Gkwang looked up at the face of the woman he had run into. He feigned a smile (he was quite skilled at that) and rose from the ground. “My apologies, miss.” He bowed and turned to leave, Canis following with a slight limp in her step.

After her many apologizes, it seemed the man had no problem with her smashing into him, but this still bothered her; turning to look over at Hieros, she gave him a harsh glare that made him shrink –it was enough to make him transform himself into a scared puppy. When she had crashed into the man, her shoulder had as well, and it caused some pain but not enough to make her worry; she saw that the other man had slammed into a light pole when he met with the ground. She hoped he wasn’t  hurt badly.

“Oh gosh, no it was my fault.” She shook her head, she wanted to blame it on Hieros, but that wasn’t fair since she joined in. “I’ll try and be careful next time.”

She and Hieros were about to make their way over to the bench when she looked at the back of the stranger walking in the other direction; it was then and there at she realized that he had been hurt him from the crash because his dæmon was limping. Hyori got up as quickly as she could and raced over to the stranger to stop him. “Wait,” She called out as she grabbed his good arm. “You can’t go any farther like that, let me help you, it’s the least I can do for being the one that’s hurt you.”

She helped the man over to another bench that was close by and sat him down; she then reached inside her pocket and took out some healing cream. “Here, it’s healing cream, it’ll stop the pain and heal your wound faster.” She said as passed it to him.

Looking over at Hieros with anger in her eyes, she growled in their native language, “I’d smack you if I could!”

“But it wasn’t my fault!” Hieros protested, only to be shut up by Hyori’s death glare. “I’m awfully sorry sir; it was my fault that Hyori bumped into you.”

Mir & Hyori

mir-arc:

Mir jumped a bit as the girl grabbed him. He was caught. But oddly enough she wasn’t turning him into the police or throwing him into an alley. “Mir you got caught again!!” Clyde growled at her partner but never took her eyes off of the panther. “Oh well~” Mir shrugged while grinning. “You are pretty good Noona~ For being able to notice me.” His dæmon rolled her eyes as Mir chuckled. “But I have no mother. Not one that I can remember anyway.”

Mir rubbed his arm as she let go and tilted his head. “Oh so you were a thief too! That’s how you noticed me!” Clyde looked up at Mir and hissed. “You idiot, that’s not why she saw you! You are just a bad thief.”  Mir grinned and his stomach growled. “I tried to take your money because I’m hungry that’s all~” Mir pouted as he looked at the girl as innocently as he could.

Hyori nodded with a bit of pride; she had her fair share of thieving when she was a kid, but it had stopped when she became of age and needed to start fending for herself, and in order to do this, she knew she needed to keep her hands to herself and out of other people’s pockets –though it wasn’t like she stopped completely. Nodding her head, she replied, “Yes, I am because when I was doing the thieving, I knew if I wasn’t quick, someone would catch me. So, it works both ways.”

When she had heard about him not having a mother, and not one he could remember, she felt horrible. She sort of knew that feeling since her mother was all the way back in her home country and photograms and letters really took too long; Hyori had been thinking of buying herself another phone since the one in her house broke, but right now, that was the last thing on her list. “I’m sorry to hear that, if it makes you feel any better, I know the feeling.”

While Hyori was in a less-than tense mood, Hieros was not; he was still on guard and growling at the dæmon in front of him. Hyori knew that Hieros was always a gentleman, but when it came to things like these, his cowardice and moral thinking went out the window and his courage took their place.

Ignoring the boy’s dæmon, and looking at him and the innocent face he put on once he had answered her question to why he was stealing from her, she said, “That’s horrible! But is that innocent face supposed to make me feel bad?” Usually her playfulness never came out in these types of situations, but he was only a kid and she had been in his shoes. “If you wanted some food, all you had to do was ask. C’mon, I’ll buy you some.”

Hieros looked at Hyori like she had three heads. “Are you insane?” He hissed in their native language. “He’s a thief!”

“And so were we, now hush!” She replied back. “So, you got a name kid?”

Crash and Boom || Hyori & Gikwang

Hyori hugged the sweater around herself a little tighter, it was in the early hours of the night and she and Hieros were still up and on their usual late night explorations. Insomnia had followed her all through her life, ever since birth; usually, if it wasn’t Hieros keeping her up because he didn’t want to sleep, it was her sleep disorder.

“Burr! I’m freezing!” Hieros shivered, the same shooting up Hyori’s spine. “Share some sweater!” Hieros changed into his mouse form so he could sink his small body into her sweater as he rests on the side of her neck.

“You were in an arctic fox form,” Hyori looked at him like he had two heads. “How could you possibly be cold?”

“Says the one wearing the sweater.”

With a small chuckle, and a roll of her eyes, Hyori continued down the sidewalk. Since she really had nothing else to do, she decided that she would take a stroll through the park and admire the trees. Crossing the street, yelling at the rich couple in their car to watch where they were driving, she entered the park. Hyori continued to walk and look up at the trees, admiring their color and the color of the sky that was behind them. So deep in thought, she almost didn’t hear Hieros speak.

Crawling out of Hyori’s neck, Hieros said, “Rin, look, a bench! Race you there!” He quickly changed from a rat to his snow-white ermine form and began to run, Hyori rushing behind.

Because she was trying to race her own dæmon to a bench, she didn’t see the person she was about to slam into. When her body collided with the other, she quickly began to apologize. “Oh gosh, I’m so sorry! I wasn’t watching where I was going! Please forgive me!” she bowed politely, hoping she didn’t hurt the man.

Mir & Hyori

mir-arc:

Mir walked the streets and kicked at the ground. Clyde looked up at him with round eyes. “I know I’m hungry too..” He sighed. Mir needed to find someone he could pickpocket to get some money. Then he could get some food. “Who is going to be my victim today?” Clyde then looked at a girl walking a little bit ahead of him. “Good job Clyde!” Mir grinned as he patted his Dæmon’s head.

Mir caught up to the girl ahead of him and smiled, trying not to draw attention to himself. He carefully put his hand into her bag and pulled out some cash. He silently cheered and slowly turned around and began to walk away.

Hyori sighed as she passed the many people on the city street; it had been day number who-knows-how-long since she had a significant amount of sleep and she was even more pissed that she was carrying a purse. A purse! One of the many girly things Hyori hated, would never have touched! She was actually going to sell it because she didn’t want it anymore, it was an old gift and so she thought someone else might want it. “I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but there’s a kid following us,” Hieros said, then changed into a black panther, a sign he was on guard.

Hyori just chuckled before replying, “Course I do, but it’s not like he can do anything to us.” Suddenly after she said this, she felt a little extra weight in the purse she was carrying. Ah, a pickpocketer; nothing I can’t handle. She thought to herself.

The minute she felt the weight being lifted, she quickly grabbed the hand that it belonged to and turned around to look at boy. “Didn’t your mother teach you to never steal from strangers?” She said with raised eyebrows; Hieros’ attention was on the boy’s dæmon, letting out a low warning growl. “You know, we strangers can be dangerous.” Hyori’s eyes met with her dæmon’s figure, but she soon turned them back to the boy as she said, “It’s okay Ros, no need to get defensive.”

Taking back the wallet, she placed it inside her pocket and let go of the boy’s arm. She looked him over, he looked no older than sixteen or seventeen; five years her junior. “So, can I ask why you tried to steal my wallet? Oh, and always remember, you can never pickpocket a pickpocketer.”

If anyone is in the mood to rp, I’m always free. Leave me a message and we can get to it. ^^

The First Meeting || Hyori & Taeyeon

taeyeon-arc:

Taeyeon was surprised that Hyori didn’t know she was famous. “Well I’m a singer…” She said and put a small smile. She was really famous in the big cities, the ones that flourished with people running to get to their jobs and so high tech. But it was just too much for Taeyeon, she still had property in her old neighborhood, but that won’t be her permanent home anymore.

Kaoru really didn’t remember where she and Taeyeon were from. She looked up at Taeyeon and patted her side. “Taeyeon where are we from?” Taeyeon looked down at the kitten, she didn’t want to answer the question. Since they did move around a lot when they were younger. Well… We moved around a lot… since our dad was so busy he really didn’t tell us any story about our homeland.

“So Hyori, Where do you work?” She asked. Trying to keep the conversation alive.

“So… what can i call you?” Kaoru asked the other. “Your full name sounds hard to pronounce…”

With a surprised, yet shameful look on her face, she said, “Oh gosh, you are? I feel so horrible now, now that I had no idea. To be honest, I don’t really listen to the music here in Arcanum. I mean I do know the idols and a selected few groups, but we mostly stick to my home country’s music since I have no time.”

Hyori loved all types of music and there were many people who could back her up on that, it was just due to her long hours at work, she never really got a chance to listen to the radio; she mostly listened to any music she had left over from her home country. Hieros was pretty up-to-date with the music in Arcanum, but Hyori wasn’t –she really wanted to though since she didn’t judge music.

Hieros looked over at Kaoru when he asked Taeyeon where they were born and found it quite odd that they didn’t really know; when he heard Kaoru answer his question, it still didn’t make sense even if someone had moved around most of their life. To Hieros, it was like not knowing what species your daemon takes form in.

“Oh, I work as a mechanic for balloons or sky ships,” She explained, taking a look at the menu in front of her. “It’s a long, hard, and dirty job, but I love it! Hieros on the other hand, doesn’t. Oh, I think I’ll have some haejangguk even though I don’t have a hangover. I still think it’s tasty!”

Hieros looked at Kaoru when asked what he could be called. “Really? That’s the first time I’ve heard that. Well, you could just call me Ros? It’s what Hyori mostly calls me. Since she seems to be on good terms with Taeyeon, then I think it’s safe for you to call me that. So, Kaoru, tell me more about yourself; you must be an interesting person if you are the same sex as your human.”

The First Meeting || Hyori & Taeyeon

taeyeon-arc:

Taeyeon was getting ready for her meetup with Hyori. She lazily put on a baggy shirt and skinny jeans. She didn’t know what to do with her hair, so she just put it up in a small ponytail and fixed her bangs. Kaoru was chill and laid back, cleaning herself. “Kaoru. Does this look fine?” Taeyeon turned to her kitten. “Yeah… Wear sneakers, not heels.“

Taeyeon quickly put on her high top nike sneakers on and walked to The Golden Cauldron, finding herself a bit early she sat down at a near table. She got all these stares, not the ones that find oneself odd, but the one that says ‘oh look she’s famous’. Taeyeon moved Arcanum just to settle down from all the attention. Back in her old neighborhood she was being chased around by cameras. Kaoru, her daemon, usually would take true form as a tiger  if they got violent.

Can we leave now? Kaoru jumping on the Taeyeon’s shoulder I mean they are taking forever… The kitten said patting Taeyeon’s cheek. “No Kaoru, we have to stay, I mean we have to make new friends… We need to have a good start in this neighborhood okay?” She said and bit the inside of her cheek. She looked out the window and looked up. A billboard of her was right across the street. “Kaoru look!” She pointed.

Hyori and her daemon Hieros came into the restaurant. “Yeah this place is pretty nice.” Taeyeon said smiling. “Well Kaoru and I just moved here in Arcanum… Just to be away from stress.” She then looked out to the window again, seeing the billboard. So Hieros how long have you been in Arcanum? Kaoru started to chat with the other.

“What would you recommend here?” Taeyeon said puffing her cheeks, looking at the menu.

Hyori listened as Taeyeon tells her more about herself, saying she just moved to Arcanum and that she needed time away from stress –oh did Hyori know that feeling, except she couldn’t get away from her stress. Hyori noticed Taeyeon look up at a billboard that was located across the street from the café, and it had Taeyeon’s face on it –so that’s what she needed to get away from.

“Ah, I see now, you’re famous,” She smiled, she really didn’t know what Taeyeon was famous for, but she never met a famous person in her hard working life. “If I may ask, what is it you are famous for? Are you an actress, a singer, a model? You’ve got to be one of those to be really famous?”

Hyori looked down at Hieros, he was still in his panther form; she wasn’t sure if he had picked up any sign of a threat, but if he didn’t, then she would help him. “Hieros,” She spoke in her native language, only using his full name when she was scolding him. “They are no threat to us, so change your form before you give them a reason to become a threat.”

Looking back up at her, Hieros replied, “God, I hate when you use my full name when you’re scolding me! Fine, I’ll change.” Hieros then changed into a red fox, a sign of still being on guard, but welcoming enough.

Upon hearing Kaoru ask Hieros on how long he and Hyori had lived in Arcanum, he replied, “Oh, we’ve been here for six years now; we were originally born in Grand Land, but our mother moved us here when we were sixteen with two of our four brothers. Were you and your human born here or from somewhere else?”
